Heartland Frontier Content Update - v0.2.5

The heartland is the last untamed frontier on the continent. Feuding lords, barbarian chieftains and great powers all seek to exploit and colonise your homeland. Build up your forces, found a nation and resist the foreign invaders.

Heartland Frontier is a 4x strategy game with roleplaying elements. Customise your  class, faith and starting position then enter the randomly generated world. Dynamic events based on your current situation means every game is different.

This week the game got additional content in the form of religious events. At the start of the game you choose which faith you follow: Paganism, the Sun Cult or the Moon Cult. There are now events in the game associated with holidays for each of these beliefs. 

Each event gives you a series of options to choose from, these can range from gaining additional resources, regenerating manpower or increasing the morale of your army. Each faith has unique events with their own choices.

Paganism

Followers of this faith have religious holidays every February, May, August and November. Pagan events allow you to spend influence to recruit additional soldiers from your tribe or gain additional resources. Pagan holidays are associated with the rituals of fertility, war, harvest and death and allows the player to select the resources they need based on the current situation.

The Sun Cult

Followers of this faith believe that the sun is a god and their events are associated with the summer and winter solstice. They give the player a series of options to choose from based on their current situation. Sun cult events happen in June and December.

The Moon Cult

This faith is associated with knowledge and this means their choices relate to developing economic power. Followers of the Moon Cult can choose to construct additional farmsteads, workshops or recruit additional soldiers from the cities they control. Events happen every March and September.
