The Heartland Frontier is the last untamed realm on Atea. Feuding lords and barbarian chieftains squabble among themselves, while the Great Powers exploit and colonise your homeland.

Your job is to unify this patchwork quilt of competing interests and faiths into a single power capable of resisting the foreign invaders who seek to subjugate and exterminate.

Heartland Frontier is a character-based medieval strategy game where you explore, build a power base, expand your influence and destroy the great armies who come to rape and pillage your homeland.

Explore

The Heartland is a divided realm split between warlords, barbarians and agents of the Great Powers. Explore the Frontier to find allies, trade goods and ancient ruins.

Expand

Build your agricultural and industrial bases to accommodate your growing population and military. Tap into trade goods for unique bonuses that directly affect gameplay.

Exploit

Approach your neighbours with diplomacy and recruit them as loyal lieutenants. Or capture them on the field of battle and personally execute them, sowing chaos among their people.

Exterminate

Grow too strong too quick and the Great Powers will send their legions onto the frontier to burn and pacify. Exterminate their explorers and generals. 

Dynamic World

Heartland Frontier is a medieval story generator. Every game you play has different characters, resources and events based on a proceduraly generated world.

Character Design

Customise your class, faith and background before the start of the game. Each choice directly effects gameplay, from the abilities available in your toolkit, to what religious festivals you celebrate, to your starting position can all be tailored.

Event-based Content

Based on your current situation the game generates events that add depth and encourage player choice with multiple options.
